INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Juanita’s Tamarind Orange Sauce

  • 2 lbs boneless, thin-cut pork chops

  • 1 tbsp. canola oil

  • 1 white onion, thickly sliced

  • 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar or lime juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ½ bunch cilantro, chopped

  • Lime wedges

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Salt and pepper the pork chops. Add them to a bowl with Juanita’s Tamarind Orange Sauce. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  2. Heat a sauté pan to medium-high heat. Add canola oil and sear the pork chops until browned on both sides.

  3. Remove the pork chops from the pan once cooked through (internal temperature should be 155ºF). Quickly sauté the sliced white onions until soft and slightly colored.

  4. Deglaze with apple cider vinegar and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Serve the onions and pan juices over the pork chops with lime wedges on the side.
