INGREDIENTS:

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Wash the Hominy.
  2. Cook for 15 minutes.
  3. Put a little oil in a frying pan and add the chile de árbol peppers.
  4. Cook them for some seconds and then remove.
  5. Add the Hominy, garlic clove, salt, black pepper, and water used to cook the maiz to the blender.
  6. Now blend. The salsa is ready!

SUGGESTION: Cook the Hominy in the same pot where you’re simmering the meat (along with onion, garlic, and bay leaves) to enhance the flavor. Serve the Spicy Hominy Salsa with Tostadas Raspadas de Pierna (Shredded Pork Tostadas).
