INGREDIENTS:
- 1 15oz. can Juanita’s Hot & Spicy Nacho Cheese Sauce
- 2 lbs Boneless Chicken Breast or Thighs
- 16 corn Tortillas
- 2 cups corn oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 medium Onion, sliced
- 1 Roma tomato, sliced
- 3 cups water
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream (optional)
- 1/4 cup Juanita’s Pico Mixture
STEP BY STEP:

In a stock pot, add chicken, all the seasonings, onion, and tomato, and cover with water. Simmer for 20 minutes, then remove the chicken and shred with a fork.

In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with 1/4 cup of cold Juanita’s Hot & Spicy Nacho Cheese sauce and set aside.

Heat the corn tortillas in the microwave and fill each tortilla with one tablespoon of chicken. Roll tightly and set seam side down. Use a toothpick if the tortillas try to unroll.

In a medium frying pan, heat the corn oil over medium heat to 375 degrees. Cook each flauta for about 3 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Serve four flautas with warmed cheese sauce and optional sides of Juanita’s Pico and sour cream. Enjoy your Puro Party Flautas!
