ABOUT THIS RECIPE:

¡Buenos días con sabor! Crispy tortilla chips meet Juanita’s Monterrey Asada Verde Multi-Use Cooking Sauce for authentic chilaquiles. This vibrant green sauce balances citrusy lime with smoky jalapeños, garlic, and cilantro—coating every chip in bold, zesty flavor. Top with crema, cilantro, and a fried egg for a comforting, satisfying start. ¡Provecho!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 jar Juanita’s Monterrey Asada Cooking Sauce
  • 4 eggs. Substitute: 1 cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 500 grams Juanita’s Stone Ground Corn Tortilla Chips
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ red onion, sliced
  • 150 grams fresh cheese, grated
  • 50 grams cilantro, chopped

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Pour Juanita’s Monterrey Asada Cooking Sauce into a pot and heat for 5 minutes.

  2. Add tortilla chips and stir.

  3. In a separate pan, cook one fried egg per serving (4 eggs total.)

  4. On each plate, pour some of Juanita’s Monterrey Asada Cooking Sauce from the pot where the chilaquiles were prepared. Add the tortilla chips with sauce and place one fried egg on top of each serving.

  5. Drizzle with more sauce and add sour cream, grated fresh cheese, red onion slices, and sprinkle with cilantro.

SUGGESTION: If preferred, instead of the egg, you can add shredded chicken before serving.
